marriot vs. royal st.kitts

We have a trip to the island planned and our travel planner is offering to "upgrade" our package from the Royal to the Marriot. I tend to prefer small more intimate hotels but am interested in hearing about the differences between the 2 resorts. Location and ease of exploring are of most importance Id say.

The Royal St Kitts is across the street fom the Marriott. It was opened as a Jack Tar resort years ago and was one of the few large resorts on St Kitts in its time.

The Royal St. Kitts has been completely upgraded and is quite lovely. They do house a lot of full-time students. Marriott is right on the ocean (Atlantic side) and across the street from Royal St. Kitts. The Marriott is the only big hotel on St. Kitts. If you are getting an upgrade to the Marriott for the same price as The Royal St. Kitts, I would definitely take it.

Hi, do you know if the Marriott sustained any damage from hurricane Irma?

Thanks, Kerry

Hello

The Royal St. Kitts didn't sustain any damage either from Irma. The Royal St. Kitts is located in Frigate Bay, and we are directly across from the Marriott. All of our rooms are equipped with Full Kitchens, so if you wish to have the convenience of preparing meals while on vacation the Royal is the place to be, newly renovated and a relaxing environment.
