Anyone stayed here and what did you think. Any nice places to eat nearby.
Thanks in advance
Place is rock bottom basic situated in a great area for bars and restaurants, also be careful if you choose to go as Price's have become ridiculous for accommodation Tinerfe Gardens is worth no more than £250 per week any more and your getting ripped off
We stayed here in March and got a good deal by booking through TripAdvisor. It is indeed fairly basic self-catering accommodation and the apartments were in need of modernisation, though I have to say the kitchen had been refurbished and was the best equipped of any s/c I have had on Tenerife. The shower room was also new and was excellent.
Everything was clean, however. It has it own parking right at the front next to the street. Staff at reception were unfailingly pleasant and helpful. We had a good deal on tickets booked through them for the day-trip to La Gomera.
There are some good places to eat nearby. The San Eugenio shopping centre is a couple of minutes away and the café there does excellent barraquitos; there is a Mercadona supermarket in the centre too.
If you're prepared to walk for ten minutes down towards the beach your choice of places to eat is vastly multiplied.
Overall, we were very happy with the accommodation as value for money and thought the location was fine.
Have to agree with Mike W. We've stopped here in the past and are going again in July. We would have preferred to stay in better quality apartments but the prices elsewhere are astronomical. In fact it's getting to the stage price wise that we could go to Turkey twice for what we pay in Tenerife. Tinerfe are very basic. Last year we had a studio at the back of the complex which was OK. Cooking facilities were very good and it had a brand new bathroom. Hopefully in time the rest of the apartments will have a much needed refurb. The best thing is the location. Plenty of great bars and restaurants within a short walking distance.
