Hi, we are travelling to Costa Teguise next month and just wondering if mosquitoes are going to be an issue. Should we bring some of those plug in devices for the apartment or buy them there ?
Thanks for any advice.
Cheers Emily, was hoping to hear that.
We have been bit, so maybe it depends if youre tasty or not !! ;-)
Maybe lanza mozzies dont like me! Must be too many garlic prawns while I'm there!
Some people are susceptible to bites, others not so, bring plug in and take precautions especially in evening, whatever works for you, one bite can be nasty. Tried Avon skin so soft for first, seemed effective. can buy a spray at supermarkets quite easily if problem in accommodation, don't like garlic but heard is effective. hope its bite free vacation.
We go to Costa Teguise in March and December and have never been bitten by a mozzie so we don't take plugins or anything. I hasten to add that I have never been in July and they may emerge to be laying in wait for unsuspecting tourists.LOL.
I agree with Irenajm about Avon So Soft though, works for me in Greece where they are vicious
We are in PB now. Both got bitten quite a bit in first few nights (had plug ins on)...and usually don’t get bitten. We now also have a citronella candle for when we are sat out on a night, spray the bedroom with bug spray before we go in too.
We are here at the moment no mosquitos but I would advise you to bring something warm the nights have been very cold and windy
Just back from PdC and never saw any mosquitos. Have been going for years, both around now and again in November - never been bitten (but have before in other countries)
No Mosquitoes whatsoever on our last visit
