Hi, we're thinking of going here self catering next year, can anyone give me an idea of average costs please for evening meals and drinks pints/ shorts/cocktails. Thanks.
We generally spends around 30euros for two courses at dinner and a litre of wine for 2. A large vodka and tonic is around 5 euros, beers differ depending on whether you are drinking local or imported. Think a draught mythos was around 3 euros. Cocktails vary in price depending on content but from around 4 euros upwards.
As Kaz said really depends on where you eat and drink as prices vary from business to business, spirit and mixer can go from 3-5 euro for say a gordons & tonic as a example, large beers never usually any more than 2.50-3 euro. Cocktails are the wider pricing from 3 - 8 so i've been told.
We spend around 40-50 Euros for dinner (2 adults & a 14 year old) Usually 3 courses with wine & soft drinks.
Redtail for cocktails - 4-5.50
Don't go AI!
We stayed at the Meandros Hotel which was half board so i can't comment on food prices, but the drinks at the hotel pool bar was quite expensive. We went to Antonis pool bar every night....Cocktails start at 3.50 euros, pint of mythos the same, drinks like WKD and Smirnoff ice was 4 euro.
Just got back from Kalamaki. We go there most years. It is getting more and more commercialised.
Most of the main strip tavernas main courses are between €8 and €12. With steak a good deal more!
The two of us usually spent about €30 for a good meal with a couple of beers. Local beer about €3, 500ml.
Branded spirits €5. Cocktails €6.
The tavernas in the old town are a bit cheaper and good quality.
There are also cheaper snack type bars and cheap fast food. A good cooked breakfast is about €4.
