I read some bad reviews of your cable car (mainly due to crowds)

but I choose to walk by foot I will be tired before I get to the top and it seems that all the good stuff is on very top of the park - am I correct ?

What's the best way to get to Bucegi Natural Park from Busteni/Sinaia?

Hi,

Where in the Bucegi you want to get (the natural park part is about 300 sq. km large)? Though I assume you're referring to the area above Busteni, with Babele and Sphinx rocks.

The cable cars in Sinaia and Busteni are crowded during weekends (Friday - Sunday).

Best way to avoid that is by going during the week.

Another idea is to take a taxi from Sinaia to the mid point stations at Cota 1400, catch one of the cable cars to the top there (much less crowded) then walk along the ridge to Babele/Sphinx.

I found a hotel Pestera Cota 1610 right in the heart of the Park which seems to be the best solution :)

Not really, it's in a valley at the foot of the mountains.

But it does have a (less crowded) cable car going up to Babele.

It's mostly the same as hiking from Busteni.

You'll also have to arrange transportation to get there.
