You might try going to Healy Macs bar in Straits Quay. They publish a regular list on their wall of forthcoming sporting events that they will be showing on the multitude of screens they have.
Hi Caine L
Previous responses to similar questions have recommended the aforementioned Healy Mac's at Straits Quay, plus Cool Bananas at Parkroyal, Batu Ferringhi; Sigi's at the Golden Sands, Batu Ferringhi; one mention of the Holiday Inn, Batu Ferringhi - as they receive the Australia Network / Australia Plus.
We've caught bits and pieces of matches in our hotel rooms, via the Australia Network / Australia Plus, but to be completely honest we're too busy holidaying to watch the footy! (and that's not to say we're not footy fans, I spent 10 years as a Sports Trainer at WAFL level, Sabrina was a "football widow" for many years with Dad doing everything from water boy to Board Member also at WAFL level).
Lise & Sabrina
and with the time difference, it comes on quite early. 3pm games on the East coast start around noon. Night matches in the late afternoon. You can get NRL, Rugby Union and the EPL as well. I watched several EPL games last October at a bar in Batu Ferringhi. Games started at 9pm. Perth is in the same time zone as Malaysia so West Coast and Freo games there are all local time
