June 2018 Trip - Need assistance w Itinerary

I'm planning to visit Yellowstone NP in 2 week of June solo.

My trip would be:

Old Faithful Inn 3 days

Canyon Lodge Cabin- 2 days

Grand Teton - 2 days

Can you please assist in creating a day by day itinerary for travelling within YNP. I did download the map.I am mainly interested in nature /short hikes.

Here are links to mileage map for the park and the top sights.

Pam, Deb or thbergs are better at the detailed daily trip plans.

Thank you thbergs for your input.

I fly into Jackson Hole (Wy) on June 15

and fly out of same airport , Jackson Hole,Wy on June 23. Hopefully chance of snow on tha plains will be minimal.

I hope to see some animals like bear , bison etc and also as much nature as I possibly can. I am also a vegetarian , so food could be a challenge.

So, fly into Jackson at what time? Is your first night in Tetons or YNP? Giving the details of your reservations and flights will help with suggestions.

Pam does better with details, if you want that. In general:

15th fly in, see GTNP, overnight Jackspn

16th GTNP to YNP. check geyser predictions, tour Upper Basin, evening to Midway Geyser Basin one of your nights at OF.

17th Upper Basin, side drives and other thermal areas, depending on predictions. overnight OF

18th Upper Basin, side drives and other thermal areas, depending on predictions. overnight OF

19th OF to Mammoth, north road, Lamar Valley, over Bunraven Pass to Canyon. Hayden Valley evening, overnight Canyon

20th Canyon/Lake/Fishing Bridge, including Mud Volcano, Hayden Valley. overnight Canyon

21st Early morning Hayden Valley for wildlife, past Lake to West Thumb. Then out the south gate to GTNP. Overnight Jackson

22nd Jackson to GTNP, overnight Jackson

23rd Breakfast in Jackson, antler arch pic, to airport. Car rental at airport or off-site? You don't want to be late, small airport and the check-in person may be loading luggage and not check you in if you are not there early enough.

Start Trip Report. We love to know how things go!

For hikes ( best not to do them solo) be sure to carry bear spray. So for the OF area, walk farther on the boardwalks in the basins. You can get miles that way. Storm Point in the lake area has a ranger led hike, do that in the afternoon (4 p.m.?) on your full Canyon day. Mammoth area, walk the terraces, do the self-guided fort tour.

What day should I do Storm Point?

Can I add the bear tooth highway Loop to any of the days above ?

Also wanted to go to Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, what day should I add it?
