I have never been to the Yellowstone park. I plan to drive from the west coast with family + a senior traveler who has limited walking distance (20-30 min walk and need a long break). I'm thinking staying at the area 3-4 days. I prefer to do light cooking for the senior due to the food restriction.
I visited Grand Canyon and the driving loop made easy for "stop and go" and no hiking required. Does loops in the Yellowstone park are similar to Grand Canyon's?
Also, can anyone suggest the following -
1) Which route we should take to tour the park?
2) How easy to tour the park with a wheelchair? (plan to use it if the senior gets tired)
3) What are the "must see" attractions which are not wheelchair friendly?
4) Lodging inside or outside the park? (No camping) Which lodges do you suggest?
