Any multi days tour recommendations for non-driver?

I’m planning my solo 3 weeks trip to US in mid June for the first time, as a huge natural landscape lover, west coast road trip is a dream for me, but sadly I don’t drive... Still I’m trying my best to visit as much national parks as possible, #1 on the list being Yellowstone of coz!

Without a car, all I can do is rely on tours to get me into the parks as they’re all rather inaccessible by public transport. I’ll most probably join a 3 days camping tour in Grand Canyon dismissing in Vegas before moving on to Yellowstone and Grand Teton, next to Yosemite. Wanna seek advice on the best way for a solo non driver to explore this beautiful park as much as possible, planning to spend 3-4 days here.

Read some horror stories of unfortunate people who have their trips ruined by some tour operators, I really don’t want to risk this, but in my case is joining a tour for Yellowstone a must? Any reputable and not insanely expansive tours you’d recommend?

Many thanks in advance!

You will need a car or a tour. Look at flying from Las Vegas to Jackson or Bozeman. You could also look at West Yellowstone. There are tours you can get from there. From Bozeman, look at Yellowstone Tour Guides and see if anything fits with your schedule. Xanterra and Yellowstone Forever has tours, but you have to get to the park. All tours will be expensive. You are welcome to post a link to tours you are considering for opinions here BEFORE you book.

Here is the list of approved vendors. Unfortunately they are not divided by location. https:/…transbusn.htm

Xanterra (official concessionaire for Yellowstone Park) has some package tours where lodging, transportation in the park, and most meals are provided. You can check their offerings on this link.

Yellowstone Forever is a non-profit educational partner with Yellowstone Park. They provide various tours, most are single day tours but they do have some multiple day "Lodging & Learning" tours.

There are also companies based outside the park that are authorized to provide tours inside Yellowstone Park. The gateway towns of West Yellowstone, MT (right at the west entrance of the park) and Gardiner, MT (right at the north entrance of the park) are the closest towns outside the park. Jackson, WY and Cody WY are farther from Yellowstone Park but also have companies that will provide tours inside the park. For a list of companies authorized to provide tours inside Yellowstone go to the following link. Unfortunately, the list is not organized by the entrances so you have to go to their individual websites to research where they are based from along with what multi-day tours they provide.

FYI.....With all of the tours above, you will still have to find transportation to get to Yellowstone Park. There is shuttle service (Salt Lake Express) operating out of Salt Lake City that goes to Jackson and West Yellowstone. Mountain Runner Shuttle provides transportation from the Bozeman MT airport to Gardiner/Mammoth at the north entrance.

West Yellowstone has a very small airport. Delta flies into it from Salt Lake City during the summer months.
