Best King Crab in Anchorage?

We will be in anchorage on 21st July pre cruise. We would like to have a very good King Crab experience for lunch on that day, any suggestions please?

It's not that easy to find GOOD king crab in Anchorage particularly at lunch time. The price has kept going up to the point that most will eat it only for dinner (too expensive for lunch). You might try Simon and Seafort's on L Street. Will you have a car? Maybe someone else knows of somewhere open for lunch with GOOD king crab - oh, try the Club Paris on 5th Ave. Call both before you go. I would have crab at Club Paris before Simon's as I prefer the older and more traditional in the shell with drawn butter.

Hope this works out for you. Most of us here buy fresh crab and cook it at home.

Thanks for that we have a similar experience here in Aust. Our local seafood is very good but also very expensive. However we do not get King Crab here and we just loved it, it was one of the highlights of our trip to alaska. It is always nice to have something that you cannot have at home when you are on vacation.
