Anyone know of any good garages/lots close to Bourbon Street? We are staying at the Crown Plaza, and I wasnt happy about the wait for my truck last time (and the $25 per night) Thanks guys.

I think there is a garage on Iberville, past Charters going toward the water. I would verify this though. And to be honest with you, most lots are going to run you around $25 a night. I have also seen parking garages on Canal, and have even been lucky enough to find parking around Bourbon for free, but I repeat this was a seriouse stroke of luck.

Best lots are in the CBD that charge about $10 per day. It can be very difficult to find cheap parking. Most of these lots are full during the day Monday thru Friday.

A good thing about B&Bs in NO is most have free parking. Most hotels charge about $30 per day for parking.

I remember talking to a lady a couple of years ago who parked in the Winn Dixie parking lot for six days and thought she was a "smart cookie" for avoiding pay parking. On day six, her car was towed and it cost $200 to get it back! Be careful if you park on the street or in unsecured lots as if it looks too good, it probably is!

The Frenchmen Street lot at Elysian Fields/Decatur is only $8 overnight. It's on the other side of the Quarter from your car, though.

Sorry...meant to say other side of the Quarter from your HOTEL. I wish tripadvisor would add an "edit" feature!

If you park in Harrah's Casino garage and gamble for 30 minutes, you can get your parking ticket validated for 24 hours of parking. Just did this for two days last weekend.

There are three parking garages on Iberville, all three are within 2 blocks of Bourbon Street. The one next to ACME is only $6.00 and they are very nice. Cash only.

Good luck. Be careful of street parking, the beat cops are giving tickets in the quarter lately.

There is a lot on Canal for $10 a day. It is on the Business District side about 1&1/2 to 2 blocks from the Casino.
