Lex Market & Poe Grave on a Friday

Looking to do Lexington Market for lunch and visit the Edgar Allan Poe gravesite on a Friday in March. Can anyone recommend a time to be at either, or times to avoid? I assume Faidley's will be a popular place for a Friday lunch.

Lunchtime on a Friday is fine. Can be busy with nearby medical center and other nearby business employees but service is quick at most stalls and it will not be a problem. You can walk the 2 blocks to the gravesite in just a couple of minutes. The graveyard is usually empty or just 1 or 2 people passing by.

Please be aware that the cemetery is closed due to damage suffered through the last blizzard. There are broken branches and hanging branches in the enclosure. From what I understand they are waiting until everything is cleared before opening it to the public.

Lexington Market is about a half a block away on Paca Street. Avoid the west market. Lots of soul food stalls and you will walk out of there smelling like the stinky food.

Faidleys is over rated but it's the only seafood stand in the market. Food there is expensive. Before you select a stall walk around first and see what's offered. The market does have plenty of chinese food but the sandwich stalls are pretty good.
