We are staying near Mosb. We have one day for Arches and one day for Csnyonland. Two sisters in our 60’s. We want to add a Jeep ride that starts about 2 pm, which park would you recommend cutting a little short to fit the Jeep ride in.

If you aren't doing a lot of hiking, Canyonlands Island in the Sky district can be seen in 3 or 4 hours. The primary viewpoints in Canyonlands are short walks on paved trails from the parking areas.

Assuming that your day in Canyonlands is the Island in the Sky area; that would be the park to spend a morning at and then do a jeep ride. Keep in mind it is farther from Moab than Arches ~40 minutes drive.

I am wondering you say staying near Moab, where are you staying?

That's a good question. Where are you staying when you say "near Moab". If you aren't actually staying Moab, that may influence what you can do with your half day for a park.

Please be specific. Where are you staying? Where will you be going when you depart?

Canyonlands IITS is a half day commitment, but the Dead Horse SP that is adjacent is also worthy of a few hours. IMO it is equally as appealing as Arches.

You can get away with cutting Canyonlands short.
