Inexpensive Last Minute Lodging ? And whwre to eat?

We are in UT for a wedding in Salt Lake City and came a day early. We decided to head down to Moab so we can visit Arches tomorrow before heading back up to SLC. We could stay outside Moab, just looking for a good deal. Suggestions of places or sites to check out? Also, looking for a good restaurant for dinner. Years ago when my husband was here he went to Eddie mcstiff's, but we're not sure if it's as good in memory as it is in reality. Have with us to kids ages 8 and 10.

Spend some time on TA doing a search of hotels in Moab. Many will come up ranging in price from about $150 to over $200. Read the reviews of the ones in your price and then make some calls to the properties.

We like River Canyon Lodge for its great prices. Bowen Motel is another as is Kokopelli Lodge. Of the three, River Canyon is the best but all are pretty basic.

Eddie McStiff's is still there. If you want brew pub fare, I would recommend Moab Brewery. We like Miguel's on Main Street.

Have fun.

Inca Inn is clean and inexpensive provided they have anything open.
