Pinnacles and Lancelin Sand Dunes in Early June

What would be the best means of travel to Pinnacles and Lancelin Sand Dunes? Would it be better to take a guided tour or self drive? Total 12 of us travelling in 2 cars? Some advise appreciated :D

You can visit either way, though 12 x tour cost will likely work out a lot more expensive than hiring the 2/3 cars you need for the day.

Of course if you hire 2 cars then at least one needs to be a 7 seater, but still, I expect it will be a lot cheaper.

Its easy to find your way. The main thing to be aware of is at the pinnacles it is a sandy road around. Ok for 2wd but hire companies probably won't let you on it. You can walk around but its a few km for the circuit.

Heavy vehicles have been known to get bogged on the marked sandy track through the Pinnacles drive thru route, so once you get there, it may be best to just park the larger vehicle and do a couple of circuit drives around in the lighter vehicle with different members of your group onboard - or walk.
