UVM graduation group dinner

Looking for suggestions!! I am planning a multi family dinner for UVM graduation in May. I am looking for a place where there can be some movement and fit about 20-25 people. Can be a casual but upbeat place just not sure where to look. Please Help !!

Do you want to be right in Burlington? It may be hard to find since there will be many other people with the same idea as you ;)

I've seen big parties at the Upper Deck Pub (at the Windjammer Hotel in South Burlington). Food is good, lively atmosphere.

If you are willing to travel 20 minutes you may want to try the Hinesburgh Public House located in Hinesburg. They have a separate room for larger parties - not sure if it can accommodate 20-25 but it may be worth a call to find out.

Windjammer (the restaurant part to Upper Deck Pub mentioned above) does have private rooms and good food both in terms of quality and selection (big menu). Also, best salad bar I've ever had. People go there just for that. http://www.windjammerrestaurant.com/

Also, Ice House downtown on the waterfront does dinners for big groups. We had a Christmas party there a few years ago and they did a very nice job. http://www.icehousevt.com/

Better get on reservations though. Every restaurant in town will be fully reserved ahead of time on UVM graduation weekend.

Thanks for the suggestions. Want to be closer to town . I am in touch with Windjammer which seems a good option. We are also considering doing something at their house and bring in food. Thanks

Sweetwaters of Leunigs might be options downtown. Leunigs upstairs area should handle ~20-25, and it's a great venue if it's available.

I think U-haul may rent tables/chairs/etc... as well. (Seems to me we used them when we had a big outdoor gathering years ago - they delivered and picked up... we set them up. And probably Essex Rental also.

thanks for the information. I think we are thinking pastas, salad, chicken, maybe sandwhiches.

We've done big takeout orders (15 people or so) from Buono's. http://www.buonos.net/ We did some chicken and pasta and they came in big containers that people could then serve themselves from.
