Family trip to Greenville

Would like help picking a hotel

We are looking at Embassy Suites Gulf resort by the airport or Hampton Inn Airport location also we have also looked at Home 2 suites in the downtown Greenville area.

We have 6 adults and 4 children twin 5 year olds 6 and 9 also.

So breakfast included is a must.

Any help would be great also

Any other activities besides the zoo and children's museum.

We are traveling in July and will be in your lovely city for 3 days.

Thank you for your help in advance.

I would stay downtown. Downtown Greenville is very walkable. They have a minor league baseball team in a great stadium and the park downtown.

It shouldn't be too hard to find. We stayed at the Hampton for less than $200.

I also recommend staying downtown since most likely that is where most of your activities will take place. Besides the downtown Hampton Inn, check out prices at the Holiday Inn, the Marriott and the Swamp Rabbit Inn. Also, you can rent a home downtown through airbnb under $200.

Next to the Children's Museum, there is a small but very nice Art Museum, which is free, The Heritage Green complex also has a History Museum and newly opened Music Museum, The Hughes Library has a nice gift shop where they sell used books very cheaply. (heritagegreen.org)

If you are here on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, downtown has free outdoor concerts in the evenings. We also have a farmer's market Saturday mornings. www.visitgreenvillesc.com

Exploring Falls Park will keep the kids as well as the adults busy for hours, and the Swamp Rabbit Trail goes to Cleveland Park where you would find the zoo as well as play areas for the kids. fallspark.com

Besides shops and art galleries, there are over 100 restaurants downtown, so you will not go hungry.

I have no doubt that your family will have a great time!

We are just back from three nights in Greenville SC. We loved it and highly recommend the city for couples, families (big and small). So lovely to walk around, neat unique shops, the River (wading and rock climbing), minor league baseball stadium, fantastic Saturday morn Farmers Market on Main St, and live music played on the street by terrific musicians. This city has “it”!
