Romantic seafood restaurant with local food

We'll be in Charleston later this summer. Have done an exhaustive search for places with local slant - crab rice and garlic shrimp for ex - but keep finding lower end places (which look great!). Can anyone suggest a higher-end restaurant, preferably near the Historic District?

Two restaurants, which impressed us were:

Peninsula in Planter’s Inn

One, at a lower price-point, which was a nice “surprise,” was Hank’s.

Reviews (though now a while ago) for each.

Almost every high end restaurant in the historic district serves local seafood. If you are looking for fried run of the mill stuff ~ won't find too much of that. They serve better preparations. Take a look at The McIntosh, The Ordinary, SNOB, Charleston Grill, Peninsula Grill for starters. Some of them change their menus every couple of days, so what you see online may or may not be what they are serving when you go in. Most of our restaurants are petty busy, so they tend to be a bit noisy and not super quiet and "romantic". Probably one of the more quiet ones would be Circa 1886 and Chez Nous.

I would also add FIG, but you must make a reservation 1 month in advance. For example ~ today they begin taking reservations for 1 month from today. Tomorrow they take them 1 month from tomorrow. You have to call in to make the reservation.
