Cairns in November ? ?

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if someone caould give me some info on the weather in Cairns in Nov. I am planning my trip along the east coast from Cairns to Sydney and have just read that it is wet season in Cairns in Nov.

I would be landing in Cairns in Mid Nov and arriving in Sydney for Xmas.

If it is wet season will this affect many of the major activities like snorkelling, diving, visiting Daintree forest?

Hi JJ100

You need to post this message in the Cairns forum. Adiminaby is a small town in the Snowy Mountains - not too many authorities on Cairns weather I would imagine. As a Queenslander (albeit SE Qld.) I can tell you that at that time of the year Cairns is hot and humid. If it is like the Brisbane area the days are often fine with heavy thunderstorms building in the afternoon. The locals should be able to give you more accurate information.
