Columbia River Gorge Historic Hwy

Hi, we are an Australian family who will be travelling in an 32ft RV, can you drive this along the old highway or is it too narrow with insufficient parking.

Thanks for all your help

I would stay on the highway and avoid the historic old road. It is barely wide enough for 2 cars, let alone an RV.

The Historic Highway is narrow and winding. And yes, parking would also be an issue. Driving an rv on that road would not only be frustrating for you, but also would make it for others as well.

Columbia River RV park is in a nice location, very near PDX airport. PDX isn't the cheapest place to rent a car, but it has the most choices. Jantzen Beach is another choice nearby. Or you could just park in Economy parking at PDX. No hook-ups, of course.
