Dress Code GBP

Am I correct in thinking that it is acceptable to wear smart shorts in the buffet restaurants (in the evenings). But men have to wear long trousers in the A la cartes?

Also are smart sandals acceptable for A la cartes?

the a la carte policy has now been relaxed. Long pants are only required in the three gourmet restaurants (Le Gourmet, Arlequin, Don Pablo) otherwise smart shorts are okay.

the sandals should not be a problem - if you have long pants on it is not really that noticable what you have on your feet!

Bring closed toe sandles just in case (for the men)

When we were there in September we saw people being turned away from both the buffets and the a la cartes for being improperly dressed.

Buffet: swimwear, wet clothes, women in wraps and sarongs over bathing suits, men in strap shirts, barefoot people, a shirtless guy...

A la cartes: guys in khaki shorts, guys without a collar, guys in athletic sandals, children in shorts, a woman who claimed she was wearing "short denim capris"

You can try sandals and "smart" shorts but have a back up pair of shoes and pants just in case.

As this forum is so brilliant. Do you think that someone might be able to get a copy of the resorts "official" dress code?

I know sometimes this information is given in the folders that are in the rooms, in most hotels.

The dress code has become more "lacks for mens slacks" in the A La Cartes without air conditioning. The fully A/C restaurants still require men to wear long pants.
