We are doing a whale shark tour on friday and turquoise bay on saturday then explore abit of exmouth on sunday b4 our flight at 3pm.

Yes go to Coral Bay. Great snorkeling, maybe hire a kayak? Nice options for lunch. There is some shade too.

Turquoise Bay is lovely, but one day is enough. Make sure you take water, food, and shade. There is nothing there.

If you are a snorkeller definitely do Oyster Stacks just past Turquoise Bay.

Coral Bay is terrific - depending on the weather. Great with an offshore easterly land breeze but can be restrictive with the typically strong SW sea breeze as almost all activities there are sea-based.

Coral Bay is great if you have a hire car and can decide to go for the day or stay around Exmouth and explore north and west, or instead snorkel on the Navy Pier or on the east-facing side of the Exmouth Gulf if its a strong sea breeze.

Coral bay is definitely worth visiting especially u have hired a car as kerryG mentioned. The drive down is also very interesting with the large termite mounds.... u might be lucky to see some emu's too.

Hi Katherine

We found Coral Bay incredibly busy and frankly a circus due to the influx of school holiday makers and inadequate facilities ( parking, a good cafe, etc) . However with the end of the school holidays approaching and with most families leaving by the end of this week for the long drive back to Perth you're timing is good .

We've just returned from 4 nights ( 3 full days) in Exmouth and used each day to snorkel a different spot. Turquoise Bay (drift loop) was the pick as we spotted turtles and dormant stingrays. Oyster Stacks was very difficult to enter & exit the water due to the SW breeze + incoming tide. Sandy Bay is a lovely swimming spot but no snorkelling. We also enjoyed Sth Mandu as we found the coral more vibrant & colourful than Turquoise Bay. Lakeside required a 100m swim from shore to view the coral and was....hard work compared to the other spots where the coral & marine life is 10m from shore.

Enjoy your time there
