Robert Treman -Swimming in September?

We will be in the Ithaca/Finger Lakes region first 2 weeks of September. Are all the lakes and swimming holes in the state parks closed already? Any accessible swimming during September?

The state parks in Ithaca usually stay open until early November (leaf peeping in October draws big crowds). I'm not sure if swimming continues because most of the lifeguards are probably college students. Check the state park website before you leave.
