Just wanted to share the quiet and peaceful July 4 weekend we had in the Catskills Region. It was our first trip to Catskills Region and all we wanted was some place nearby and not too crowded.
We started post lunch on Sat, July 2 and checked into Washington Irving Inn, Tannersville. We had no reservations but called them on our way to book our room. It was so well maintained and the Cottage Room was just perfect for one night.
That eve we had dinner at Last Chance Antiques & Cheese Cafe, Tannersville. The food was excellent and drinks as well.
Later that night we watched the fireworks at Colonial Country Club.
Sun morning we had Breakfast at the Inn and checked out for kayaking at the North-South Lake Campground. The views are beautiful and we will be back in Fall for colors.
After Kayaking we did the quick trail to Kaaterskill Falls.
On our way back to NJ we also stopped at the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets for some quick shopping.
We had a peaceful weekend with not much driving and beautiful scenery around!!
