Fee to use beach

40 years ago the beach with the sunken concrete boat was either off limits to tourists or charged money to go. Is this still the case?

If you mean Sunset Beach, its free.

Of course, it's a bay beach- very pebbly (including Cape May Diamonds)

We like the Sunset Grille- a throwback to the 19505's. The shops have good prices on souveneirs, cheap beach wear.

You probably know this but Cape May City Beaches require beach tags , between Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day.

+1 everything brookquarry said.

Here is a fee schedule if interested in Cape May city beaches for beach tags:

Also, the beach at Lighthouse Point (State Park) is beautiful, but off limits for swimming. That beach has the abandoned WWII bunker. There is no fee to enter the park at Cape May Point State Park, but swimming is prohibited in that area. There is a fee to climb the Lighthouse which goes towards its maintainence and upkeep.
