brilliant news but a twist ...

Just had some brilliant news in that my wife has just found out she's pregnant ... the but is that we're off to Vegas in two weeks for 5 nights and had planned our normal drinking, gambling, partying trip.

Obviuosly one of those is out of the equation now ! Any tips on some sober things to do would be much appreciated. Obviuosly theres some shows and nice meals ... planning matt goss, Elvis and phantom .. but any other things we might have overlooked in the past?

Congratulations! Nashville is right!!! You can have almost as much fun without boozing it up in Vegas..lol

Not sure what you've done before but here are some suggestions:

Bellagio Conservatory

Sit outside at Fontana Bar in the evening and watch the Fountain show

Mac King comedy show (afternoon) at Harrah's is very good and reasonably priced.

Ride the elevator to the top of Stratosphere and watch the rides & enjoy the view. You can also ride to the top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris.

Take a day trip to Hoover Dam and Valley of Fire.

Go to see the expensive cars at Wynn (is it Lamborghini or Ferrari?) and the car collection at Imperial Palace.

Try some new restaurants (lunch or dinner)..

Congratulations! You'll be fine. Being in Vegas is better than not being in Vegas under any circumstances. Have some time at the pool, the shows you're planning and a few nice dinners. Alcohol can wait until another trip.

However I'm not sure I'd want to subliminally expose an unborn child to Matt Goss ......:-)

I couldn't drink much on one trip because of some medication I was taking. We did a lot of hotel exploring that trip and found things hadn't seen before.

Congrats.

You can gamble and party without drinking. If I ask the cocktail waitress will bring me a diet coke without the rum.

Your wife can drink things like virgin daquari's, virgin margaritas, pina coladas etc, still yummy! Pool time, explore the hotels you've not seen before, go to City Center, shop (most stores are open til 10-11PM), shows, nice meals, maybe rent a car for a day or two if you aren't already planning to have one, drive out to Red Rock, go to Valley of Fire.
