That is going to be tough. Mexico is about 65 miles southeast of LaPlata, Kirksville is about 12 miles north of La Plata, and that Amtrak stop is in the middle of nowhere. Kirksville's city website does show a taxi service and limo and shuttle services so you might reach out to them.

Thank you for your reply. I looked everywhere & called everyone I could think of because I really wanted to try traveling by train. In the end I had to go with flying into St. Louis & renting a car there. : (
