Canadians visiting KC for first time - Go Chiefs!

Looking for advice for Canadians attending an evening Chiefs game for the first time. My boyfriend is a diehard fan and will want to tailgate but not sure the best way for us to be invited to hang out with total strangers haha...also, with evening games when is the best time to make our way to the stadium? We will be staying within walking distance.

Is there much close to the stadium in ways of entertainment and food? Trying to avoid renting a car but I understand the public transit isn't great here. How about Uber?

How cold is it in Kansas mid-December??

Thanks everyone, we can't wait to see the Chiefs kick some butt :)

The weather in mid december could be in the 20s - 60s.

If you are ourgoing, you will quickly be sucked into some of the tailgating groups. There are no restaurants which I would recomend within a mile of the stadiums.

KC is a pretty easy city for driving.

If you stay Downtown or the Plaza an uber to the stadium will cost about 16 each way, it would still be cheaper then paying to park in the stadium

Thank you for the advice, we have decided to get a car so we can tour a bit.
