Girls weekend best place to stay

I’m looking for suggestions of places to stay for a girls weekend in October. Either close to the action or a small distance away with the ability to have a evening campfire.

Is October still a good time to visit Stillwater? Is there plenty to do in the fall?

You will be able to find enough to do wine tasting/shops

October is my favorite fall time in MN as long as the weather cooperates. Unfortunately it can be beautiful or horrible that time of year.

And yes, Stillwater is a great place to visit w/ lots to do, the St Croix has gorgeous colors. But the crowds and motorcycle noise congesting the area are not appealing during peak colors. If you have a rental away from the Main St to escape the bustle, you should be good. The earlier in the day you get out and about the better...
