We celebrated our 42nd anniversary at Newagen Inn in BoothBay in mid Sept.
We stayed 5 nights at this Inn in the "Little Inn- Mohegan room" & it was just grand! Quiet in off season but still wa weather. We were on 2nd for a/balcony with the missing comfy Pottery Barn chairs ( plush thick cushions that repelled water n dried w/in 1hr from rsin !!) so we sat read / ate from room service meals while enjoying the panoramic scenic vista!
We are fr NYC & craved peace & quiet when away & we are seasoned travelers - these cushy PB chairs are the best!!!!! Better than 5 star Ritz or 4 Seasons outdr chairs!!!
Ambiance , food & service were good! ( LUVd the fiatbreads!!!!) We rebooked fir next Sept but locked in the stunning Seahorse Cottage thst is very private & has private overlooking water ! Can't wait!
We visited the Train Museum & Botanical Garden & did the usual walk around town as s tourist. All fantastic & so beautiful. Would repeat & hope to see more next yr...., & go to Clambake ( ended 9/8 thus yr before we arrived) - & boat trips & travel further inland .
We will write reviews regarding stores& restaurants in these sections in TA.
All in all we luv Boothbay & Newagen Inn ( bec of the smaller size & spreadout property& accommodations wo any cars nearby!)
Booked for next Sept- need we say more?
