Dinner in Lexington

Will be in Lexington in early May for a conference and then driving over to Louisville for the Derby on Saturday.

Looking for dinner suggestions, we will be there four nights. We understand there is a great steak house, but also need a suggestion for dinner on the way back from the Derby, somewhere between Lexington and Louisville.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There are several really good restaurants in midway. Heirloom, holly hill inn for more casual grey goose. Midwayvis about 15 minutes from Lexington. If you want to wait until you get back to Lex there are lots of pgreat restaurants downtown. Pick your spot and make reservations!

The steakhouse you are referring to is Malone's. They have several locations around town and they are all fantastic!

What area of town will you be staying in? Any particular type of cuisine you like?

Rodney's on Broadway in Georgetown is awesome. I would highly recommend it. It is better than Malones.

The great steak house debate, love it. We like Italian, seafood, continental and Latin American, a/ka/ Mexican to some people, but authentic Mexican.

Thanks for all the recommendations. We are open to try anything local, not chain.
