Chicago to Notre Dame on a game day-Uber?

I'm staying in Chicago but need to get to Notre Dame on Saturday for the game and the return to Chicago afterwards. I've seen everything about the train to the airport and then a shuttle, party buses, rental cars but given some of these prices, I'm wondering, what's the potential of ubering to and from the game? Anyone done it? How pricey? I like the idea because I can get there as early as I want to walk around.

Really appreciate any feedback. Thanks

Renting a car would be about $50 plus gas, parking, tolls. I'm sure that's a lot cheaper than an UBER ride and a lot easier than train or bus.

The South Shore line is a good option if you are staying close to Millenium Station.
