Chicago Hotel with view / balcony

Hi all,

I am wondering if you can help me with finding a Chicago hotel for one night.

So I was thinking a room with amazing floor to ceiling windows with a city / river view, maybe a jacuzzi / balcony. But the view out of the window would be the most important.

Can anyone help me with some ideas?

Many thanks

The Swissotel or W Lakeshore with a view of Lake Michigan would good options. The Hyatt Regency, Renaissance and Sheraton would give you river views. The Blackstone, Peninsula, Dana, Four Points, and Intercontinental have balconies.

The lakeside, upper floor rooms of the Chicago Hilton have the same terrific views as the Blackstone. Be careful about asking about a "city view" as this is real estate code for "not much of a view."

One of my favorite hotel balconies is at The Whitehall. It's a suite--and the balcony off the bedroom is wonderful. Actually, it's a terrace--not a balcony.

Thank you all for your responses. Has anyone stayed in thr Tranquil Suite at the Dana?

It sounds like it has a couple of balconies, and I cant tell if it has floor to ceiling windows or not. Its either that or the Serene King at the Dana. Both sound lovely.

I'm still checking other places too...

Sorry, one other thing, in terms of city views - a nightime skyline view, would people say the Dana or the Swissotel is best?

Thanks again!

Another possibility: The Park Hyatt on Water Tower Square. The hotel starts at the 7th floor (NoMi restaurant) through the 18th floor but the EAST side rooms overlook a 5 block long park to the lake. Get as low a floor as possible to enjoy the Water Tower lit up at night. The only buildings in the park area are the Water Tower and pumping station (pre-Chicago fire), a victorian fire station and the Museum of Modern Art (four story). To the north you will see Water Tower Place (Mall/Ritz Carlton hotel/condos) and the Hancock Building. To the south there is Olympia Towers (offices and condos) and Northwestern Medical. It should offer an "in-the-city" night view rather than a view of the city from afar. The rooms all have Jacuzzis and the wall between the jacuzzi and the bedroom can be opened.

All of our guestrooms and suites offer floor to ceiling windows. The tranquil suites offers two balconies, oversized shower and much more.

We would love to have you as our guest! Let me know if there is anything else we can do to assist you with your upcoming trip.

Cheers,

Liana Clark
