Ybor City...mid-week

Just wondering how "active" Ybor City is mid-week in terms of bar crowds? Live music at any of the bars? Will be in town early spring next season on a Wednesday. Don't want to waste the evening going there if it is a ghost town after the dinner hour.

Thx.

Ybor can be a little sketchy after dark. It's definitely worth checking out during the day...7th Ave, the Columbia restaurant, La Segunda Bakery. You may want to check out the Riverwalk in downtown instead. The Sail Pavilion has nice waterfront seating for drinks and possibly live music, and biking or walking all along the riverwalk up to Ulele restaurant.

We found it quite safe on a Fri or Sat after 11pm. There will be dozens of other people walking around at that time along 7th Ave.

Wednesday is definitely quieter than the weekends, but it's the first night of the week that the clubs start booking live entertainment. It's actually pretty enjoyable on a weeknight -- all the fun, none of the crowds.

It will close earlier, but assuming that's not a big deal.

Just have dinner along 7th Ave -- then "after dinner" consists of walking out the front door.
