We currently live in Baton Rouge, LA (love it) but are looking at a job opportunity in St. Petersburg. The reviews online aren't that great, says its a high crime city. For people who live there and have visited, is it a good city? Is it growing and revitalizing or on the decline? Any info is helpful, we are going to visit in a few weeks but just wanted to get a heads up on the area. Thanks in advance.

1. Re: Relocating

There are many past messages on the livability of St. Petersburg. Like any other city it has its desirable parts and its undesirable parts. Because the job might be in St. Pete, you don't have to live in St. Pete. There are many nearby small towns to choose from. Take a look at a map of the area.
