We will be in Naples over Valentine's Day and would appreciate any advice on a lively/romantic place for dinner
What type of food do you prefer?
Cafe Lurcat on Fifth Avenue South is very nice. You can dine upstairs then go down to the lounge for drinks and music. The food is continental. On Third Street South is Campiello's, the same owners as Lurcat. In my opinion, the best authentic Italian food in Naples. I like dining in the garden area or outside.
The Ridgeway bar and grill is very nice. They are also on Third Street. Food is american and excellent.
Mairie Michelles at the Venetian seems very nice if you like French. I have never eaten there so I cannot comment on the food.
All of these place will probably be busy and have set menus or times so I would call ASAP to reserve or you may get shut out.
Great suggestions... I have eaten at Marie Michelles, but just for lunches. It's very good and a nice view over the bay.
Check out http://www.trulucks.com/ though it is very expensive i have had two of the most outstanding evenings there.
I don't know about anyone else, but water front restaurants really sweep me off my feet. That's what I would be looking for.
Here are a few that are romantic...
H.B.'s on the Gulf - Naples Beach Club
Baleen - La Playa
Artisan Room - Ritz Carlton
Those are some good choices. You can find maps and info on MenuVenueSWFL.com. Let us know what you decide on and how it goes!
MenuGuy does not have a MenuGal this year, so no romantic dinners for me. I will live through your stories!
Fifth Avenue, downtown Naples, has Music on Fifth. This includes 6 or 7 singers/musicians that play on the street. I know because I am one of the singer. My name is Sandra Rose and I will be performing near Patty Murphy's. It is a fun night with lots of romance and dancing. Dance a song and you get a rose. Stop by and say hello to Sandra Rose! have fun. 6:30 - 9:30 Parking can be a challenge, arrive early!
