Hi we’re looking to stop over whilst in Orlando for a break away from the theme parks etc and found the Hyatt House hotel which appears quite central. Do the shops and restaurants around here open restricted times on weekends, particularly Sundays?
Saturdays you will be fine with regular hours. Sundays often have condensed hours but you should still be able to shop easily with a little planning.
It is a bit of a trek from Hyatt House to 5th Ave especially in the heat. The hotel does run a shuttle bus though.
The walk would be less than 15 min to 5th Ave.
Have you checked the distance on google maps? It will tell you the exact distance from point to point and approximate walking (or driving) time.
Only you can then decide if you want to do that walk in the Florida heat.
It's exactly 1 mile to Bice Restaurant which is the one farthest from the Hyatt on 5th ave. Three more blocks will have you at the beach. You would pass a number of restaurants along that walk. Everyone has a different idea of how far they can/will walk.
