Okay...can't find it! Restaurants in Baytowne Wharf?

I know the ones that have been in there - but, last year, they opened a Taco Bar. And, I thought I read (on here) that they opened a couple new ones? If someone could clue me in to where to find the list of restaurants in Baytowne Wharf...that would be great. (And, no, it's not on their website!)

Okay - Destin Experts...these are the restaurants I want to try this year. Please, feel free to tell me what's good and what's not so I can dwindle my list! LOL

Fishbar (I think I got sucked in by the Fish Tacos)

Stinky's Fish Camp

Old Bay Steamer

Elmo's Grill

The Boathouse Oyster Bar

The Red Bar

790 on the Gulf

Miller's Ale House

These are maybes for lunch...

Various food trucks in Seaside

Grin-go's (just because I'm a sucker for places that offer a food challenge)

Landshark Pizza

Fishbar (I think I got sucked in by the Fish Tacos)

CLOSED

Stinky's Fish Camp

Pretty good.

Old Bay Steamer

Big steamed shellfish platters (frozen) you know we actually do have fresh crab here- blue crab and also fresh lobster but not at Old Bay

Elmos Bar

Popular with the visitors, meh

The Boathouse Oyster Bar

Dive bar with good gumbo, entertainment and people just having a good time

The Red Bar

One of a kind experience, very consistent good food with a limited menu and great drinks...we alway eat in the bar

790 on the Gulf

Yes, yes, yes, get the duck gumbo

Miller's Ale House

Becoming very popular with the locals because of unbeatable special pricing on drinks and food

THANK YOU!!! I so appreciate the feedback - makes eliminating so much easier!

I think we come down there when Blue Crab isn't in season? Believe me, I'd LOVE to find a place that has fresh crab. Every time I've had crab down there, it sucks it. (especially if your restaurant name is "Crab Trap")

Duck Gumbo! Nice!

What about Marina Cafe, Cafe Tango or Camille's?

The morels stuffed veal chop at LaFamiglia is one of my fav meals in Destin. And the calimari app easily feeds 4.

Texas Cowgirl - I'm a very simple girl, when it comes to food. Marina Cafe and Cafe Tango seem to be, for me, too pretentious. That's just not my scene. I like simple food, done well, but with a funky twist.

I am wanting to try the early-bird at Marina Cafe.

It sounds very nice, but I am not sure it as 'pretentious'???

And hey, if you with your friends, it IS on the water!

I love the idea of seafood at Marina Cafe and at Louisianna L.

I have really been wanting to try LaFamiglia, (thanks JoeMammy!) but for some reason it is getting mixed reviews??? That veal dish sounds WONDERFUL (real morel mushrooms!) but I am not sure that veal would be my thing.

Christiano's gets great reviews, but their menu seems, well... limited? (pretentious?)

Ohhhhh, so much great dining...

So much to choose from.

Decisions.. Decisions!!!

: )

You guys should really venture out of Destin also. One of the best (in my opinion) fresh seafood places around is "Nicks Seafood" located in Basin Bayou on Hwy 20190 between Niceville and Freeport. Its only about a 20week min drive from Destin and all of the seafood is fresh. It is a local favorite. Another great place is on 30-a that just opened up this past March called "Local Catch". Haven't eaten here much but the times I have it has been amazing. Hope this helps you.
