What are some good places (bars, restaurants) or things to do, in Dewey Beach for a bachelorette party in May?
Virtually everything will be open in mid-May, so you will have your pick of all the bars along Route 1. These include, but are not limited to the Rusty Rudder (Love Seed Mama Jump has long played every Thursday night), the Bottle and Cork, the Starboard, Northbeach, and others. The website for the Rusty Rudder and Bottle and Cork is http://www.deweybeachlife.com/ and for the Starboard it is http://thestarboard.com/.
As far as party places go...Dewey has the better bars for the college-age crowd. The Rusty Rudder is probably going to be one place you will want to stop. They have pretty decent dance floor. You may also like the Starboard. I have heard they have a great bloody Mary bar. The Bottle & Cork is pretty good for live bands. In downtown Rehoboth, you might like the Conch Island bar....they have karaoke. Also I believe lula brazil in Rehoboth has a dance floor too.
Some bachelorettes like to hit the Purple Parrot in Rehoboth on Sunday evening to catch the Birdcage Bad Girls Show. It is a drag show. I have seen at least one bachelorette party there & I have only been a few times. Show is pretty good and fun to watch. Don't forget your dollar bills.
You can always go to one of the spas, tanning salons or the nail salon during the day for a girls event. We have several spas to choose from in Rehoboth. Go ahead and pamper yourself.
Consider traveling to Milton to the Dogfish Head Brewery. Tours are NOW first come, first serve & doors open at 10:45am. You can sample for FREE even if you do not do the tour. Check their website for actual tour times.
Mispillion River Brewing in Milford also has a tasting room. Hours: Monday and Tuesday 4-9, Wednesday and Thursday 4-10, Friday and Saturday 12-11pm & Sunday 12-6. There is a small fee.
In Georgetown, DE there is the 16 Mile Brewery. They offer FREE tours of their brewery on Friday and Saturdays (Noon, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm). Arrive 10 minutes prior to tour & wear close toed shoes.
Another daytime activity that you might like would be to go parasailing in Dewey Beach OR rent jet skis.
Visit the Tarot Reader on the way into Rehoboth FOR FUN.
Ride the Water Taxi between Lewes & Dewey Beach.
Want "S'MORE" fun? Stop by Dagsworthy Street in Dewey Beach on Wednesday night. They were holding bonfires on the beach on Wednesday nights from 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM during the past summer seasons. They were also doing Movies on the beach on Mondays at approximately 8:30 PM, but they were usually family themed movies. IF it interests you, check it out first just to make sure they are continuing this event THIS season.
Dickens Parlour Theater in nearby Millville (near Bethany Beach) has a nightly show & pre-show "dinner". Most nights it is a magic show, but sometimes they have a "Ladies ONLY Night". Ladies Nights are usually psychic readings or something like that. Check the calendar for when you are going to see IF it interests you. There is a "ladies only night" MAY 2nd!
Ice skating is available at the Carousel Hotel in Ocean City. Ocean City also has a pretty big club called Seacrets that might interest you.
SHOPPING. There is lots of TAX-FREE shopping to be found around town. Hit the Tanger Outlets.
BEACH time. Spread out a beach blanket & soak up some sun.
Hope this helps some! Have a great time & IF you have any questions, just ask!
Also watch where you park if your renting a house... I found out the hard way they are all over it according to the tow truck holding yard. Cost me $550 for them to have the car for 30 minutes
