Bridal Shower Help! Tea Party Theme!!

Hello! I am in the beginning stages of planning a bridal shower for a good friend of mine in Fairfield or New Haven counties. Given I am from New Jersey I am struggling a little bit about venue options because the bride wants a traditional "English" tea party in a tea house or non-traditional setting.

I really want to make sure the event space compliments the menu/theme so any recommendations would be much appreciated!!

Also, the shower is going to be in the spring so I need to make sure there is indoor seating!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Maybe Madison is a little far but here's a possibility: http://savvyteagourmet.com/751/

Rainbow Gardens in Milford might be a possibility.

The Greenwich Garden Education Center (home of a premier garden club) would be lovely for a tea party.(http://www.gecgreenwich.org/about.html). I'm sure that the ladies would help you with suggestions and or referrals for caterer, florist and whatever else you might need to make it the party of her dreams.

I'm not sure if the Cos Cob Inn would do a tea party but it would be worth contacting them as it is a beautiful historic home. http://coscobinn.com/events.html. There are several other historical properties in the area that might offer what you are looking for and Cos Cob Inn staff most likely would be able to make referrals.

Tarrywile Park in Danbury would also be lovely. While this location is a bit north of Westport it is worth the consideration. http://tarrywile.com/brochure

Good luck with your party. Connecticut has a lot of 'perfect' spots. You just need to find the one that speaks to you.

Tarrywile would be gorgeous - the mansion is absolutely beautiful - Other suggestions would be Spinning Wheel Inn in Redding, or the Garden House - keelertavernmuseum.org/keeler-subpages/garde…
