Timberline, Stonebridge or Wood Run Place Condos...

We will be in Snowmass Early April....with friends staying at Shadowbrook. We are considering one of the following: Timberline, Stonebridge, Wood Run Place. Price wise I have listed them in order of cost, lowest to highest.

Tradeoffs as I see it:

Timberline: Plus- a more remote, quiet area, but quite a hike up the hill to get home from dinner or the mall area.

Stonebridge: Closest to our friends, but, we aren't necessarily fixed on that as a priority and are concerned it might be tot busy in that area for us. We like a little more "get-a-way, scenic feeling".

Wood Run: Appears to be the newest and with most up-scale amenities, but, would it be even more difficult than Timberline as far as accessibility? Will it have more of a scenic or busy feel? I can't get a feel for how close it is to the action, nor how good the ski-in, ski-out is.

Which has the best ski in-ski out and ski locker facilities? What are your recommendations? Price is not the biggest issue - just another consideration.

Thanks!

First of all, keep in mind that Snowmass is VERY small. The distances and the "get-a-way" you are talking about are measured in yards, not in miles.

For Timberline, don't worry about hiking up the hill. Snowmass has a fantastic shuttle system that is always in transit has stops all the way up the hill. You don't have to walk it unless you want to.

All three are ski in/out, but all three also condos so new/old is relevant. Yes, WRP is a slightly newer property, but you may get a unit that hasn't been updated since 1980, whereas Stonebridge Condos is the oldest of three but you may have a condo fully renovated last year. Always talk to the reservationist and if decor is important to you then pay for it. Do not count on an upgrade.

Views/scenic area will also depend on where the condo you booked is located in the property and whether you are looking out at mountains and trees or facing another condo. While you're asking about decor ask about that too.

Long story short, there is no one answer to your question as each condo is different. I'd talk to reservationists at all three places and see who has what you want open when you want it.
