Construction in Snowmass Village? Where to stay?

I am planning to go to Snowmass in 10 days, for a first time with a 4y old child. I though about Steamboat but was scared about all the construction activity. So I booked plain tickets for Snowmass, which I still can cancell. Now, searching for lodging I see some cites warning about constriction noise as well. Is construction still active/noisy in the Village? If yes, any recommendations on lodging that is ski-in/out but not in the midst of renovation would be much appreciated! Thank you.

I was there during the holidays and construction at Snowmass is contained to the bottom back side of the Tree House complex at the bottom of Fanny Hill and will not interfere with your skiing experience one iota. There is only one visible crane but don't let that dissuade you from opting out. For lodging try http://www.stayaspensnowmass.com/ if not already. Local expert may have further advice.

Check my profile and photo contributions for a pic of base. It'll be up today sometime.
