anyone stayed here recently?
just looking for some reviews on it...
How recent? We stayed in one of the turret suites a few years ago. They're very nice. They have a good kitchen, reasonably well equipped. The deluxe rooms are good, too. We love these hot springs. The variety of pools is good and they have food and drink right there.
Hotel is totally functional. It is not luxury. But worth it to have such immediate access to the hot springs.
Thanks so much -- yes, sounds like worth it for the hot springs!!
I have never been to Pagosa.... is there other things to do besides hot springs? - :)
Pagosa Springs offers plenty to do in addition to soaking in the hot springs. You can start by checking out www.visitpagosaprings.com. We are surrounded by 2.5 million acres of wilderness and national forest areas - with over 650 miles of trails accessible. In the summer, hiking, biking, tubing / floating, fishing, horseback, hot air balloons, etc. There is also a year round professional theatre company at Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts. Chimney Rock National Monument is nearby - great night sky programs as well as daily tours to the ruins.
Staying at the Springs is also good location for walking to restaurants, shops, a brewery and more. Reservoir Hill is across the street with hiking and mountain biking trails and disc golf course. The paved Riverwalk Trail is also accessible from the property.
Hope you enjoy your visit. The Springs Resort is located next to the visitor center - another resource to assist with activities during your stay.
