Marriott mountain valley lodge, questions about lifts

I’m heading out next week, 25th-29th. Looks like only 30% of trails are open. We typically ride blues and less harsh blacks. Looks like thevquicksilver chair is right by our hotel but not open yet. So, are the lifts that are open, close enough to walk to from the Marriott? Which one would be best for the current trail openings?Any guesses on how much more snow is needed for that lift to typically open?

Looking at the same map, see the Beaver Run lift - the only other lift out of the Peak 9 base? That's uphill from you and you would not want to walk it in ski boots.

The Quicksilver, Beaver Run, and Mercury chairs all opened today. Quicksilver is the beginner slope, but the Beaver Run and Mercury chairs access a large amount of blue runs. There are a few black diamond runs, mostly moguls, open on peak 8.

Lift openings have as much to do with lift tickets and employee start dates as they do the amount of snow. The first lifts that are opened are usually centered around where the ski schools operate out of.

Great thanks! Am I seeing it right that we can hop on quicksilver and shoot over to beaver run to avoid walking up hill to beaver run?

Correct.

You can access both the Beaver Run Superchair or the Mercury Chair from the top of Quicksilver.

Thanks for the replies, very helpful.

Any intel out there on whether Peak 6 will be open after Thanksgiving?
