Methods of getting to Whittier

Hi:

I would like to know if anybody can let me know the various ways to get to Whittier proper. I will be leaving from Vancouver, BC Canada on Monday the 10th or Tuesday the 11th of April. I have various ways to get to LA, plane, bus, or train, but nowhere can I find transportation that will get me to Whittier. Any help would be appreciated.

You can take a shuttle from the airport or you can take Metro. I have given more about Metro route below. Also, you can fly into LAX or you could fly into Burbank Airport (whatever route is cheaper from Victoria, BC) will work fine.)

Go to: http://www.mta.net/default.asp

Put in LAX (for Los Angeles International) and Whittier (or if you have the street address put in more information.)

In general, the route is:

Ride G Shuttle( METRO GREEN LINE AVIATION STA) heading south

From: WORLD WAY/TOM BRADLEY TERMINAL Lv: 05:36PM

To: AVIATION STATION/BUS BAY 2 Ar: 05:50PM

No Charge

Ride Metro Rail Green Line( NORWALK) heading east

From: AVIATION BL I 105 GREEN LINE STATION Lv: 06:03PM

To: NORWALK I 105 I 605 GRN LINE STATION Ar: 06:30PM

Pay $1.25

Ride Metro Bus 270 (MONROVIA) heading west

From: NORWALK STA DRIVEWAY/BUS BAY Lv: 06:35PM

To: PAINTER AV/PHILADELPHIA ST(NE corner) Ar: 07:08PM

Pay $1.25

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ending at WHITTIER

Total cash fare = $2.50 *For this trip consider a Metro Day Pass

Trip time is about 1 hour and 32 minutes.

Trip distance is about 28.42 miles.

Thank you for your response. My apologies for being so slow, I have been confirming travel plans which (lucky me) include a day and change on the bus.

Would your directions still get me there if I am leaving from the Greyhound Bus station at 1716 East 7th Street in LA (corner of Alameda with zip code 90021) and going to Telechron Avenue in Whittier.

The bus arrives at 7:05 PM on Wednesday.
