We would like to have about 30 friends enjoy dinner in a casual local restaurant in Vallejo, any suggestions? Non-chain restaurants preferred.

Unfortunately, Vallejo does not have many non-chain restaurants (we could use some--good chefs, come on down!). However, if you like Thai, Cha-Am has an outpost of its excellent Berkeley restaurant in Vallejo. The decor is kitschy but the food is wonderful. There is a fancier restaurant near the water--the WaterBarge?--but I found the food uninspiring.

Annie's Panda Garden also has good Chinese food, and cheap. The decor is nothing to write home about, but most of the food is very tasty.
