Hearst Castle night tour timing

Hello. Friends and I are hoping to see the grounds at sunset in late March or early April. Sunset should be between 7:25 and 7:30 p.m. Does anyone know about how long into the tour we would stop touring inside the mansion and head outside to see the grounds? The main office/information team was unable to answer this question, so thanks for any tips -- including whether you wouldn't bother trying to time our tour to be outside at sunset!

You start your tours outside and then the rest of the tour is inside, except when you go down to the Roman pool to leave. When you reach the hilltop on the bus, a guide will divide everyone into the bus into separate groups. If possible, try to be in the last group to come off the bus, since that group will take the longest to go inside. Whatever time tour you select, that's when the bus pulls away from the Visitor's Center, so you'll reach the hilltop about 15-20 minutes later. Take that into consideration when choosing your tour time. PLEASE keep in mind that you must keep up with your guide on these evening tours, unlike day tours where you can wander the grounds after your tour is done. Sunset from the hilltop on a clear evening, with the views of the coastline, is worth trying to time your tour around. It casts an orange glow on Casa Grande that's pretty spectacular too.
