Pangaimotu help

Hey family of 5 with teens and keen to go to Pangaimotu is there a cheap option of getting across there? Or can you only go on organised tours? What is the cost to get there? And what is recommended to do when there?

There's a boat that does the 10-min. trip across from Faua wharf to Pangaimotu once a day Monday–Saturday and several times a day on Sunday. Every taxi driver will know where to drop you off. I don't know about "cheap," but it's just a boat fare, not a tour.

There's not a lot to "do" there – you can walk around the island in about 30 minutes, you can snorkel (not very good snorkeling), you can jump off the shipwreck, you can have a beer while cooling off in the water, as the water right off the restaurant is about 3 ft. deep.

I've not been out there since Hurricane Gita, though, and I know there was a lot of damage.
