If Sansa flight is on time, yes.
Does Sansa run on time normally? And how late can they be and still be relatively safe on time to make 11:45 departure, leaving Friday, June 6.
Sansa flights can be delayed due to weather problems - including heavy rain, squalls and high winds. It's hard to predict. The flight might also be delayed because the plane that is coming to Quepos is delayed.
For your 11:45 departure, you should be at SJO no later than 9:45. So not much room for error! You will need to pay your departure tax and fill out a form and then stand in line with everyone else on your flight (and possibly other flights) to check in and the airlines will not let you board if you have not checked in at least one hour before the flight time.
Cutting it close.........
And PS: There is no "clearing customs" to leave Costa Rica, only upon arrival.Edited: 24 February 2014, 23:57
JDW56 -- If any of us could predict whether your flight will be on time or not, we would be incredibly rich! It's just not possible, no matter how many times you ask.
With that close a connection, I wouldn't chance it.
If you are going by land, it would be best to drive the day before and spend the night somewhere near the airport which is in Alajuela, not San Jose. There is lodging of all sorts and all prices 15-20 minutes from the airport. You can have a leisurely breakfast and then make your way to the airport around 9:30 and be refreshed and relaxed for your long flight home.
