Go up the road beside the futbol field and past the school and a few houses. Go over the bridge on the left, turn right at the “intersection” and just up to the top of the hill. Park on your left where there is a sign warning not to leave valuables in your car. The steps down to the waterfall are directly across the road.

Two more good waterfalls very easy to access on your own. One at Uvita has a sign on the road where you turn left at the banco. Go up the hill and follow the signs. Pay $1 as you enter at a small bar and follow the paths to the fall. Be sure to keep your eyes open for toucans. We saw 4 there, nice swimming pools. Then in Ojochal there is a nice waterfall just across the street from the tilapia restaurant where you can catch your own fish. Delicious. The restaurant just down the hill from that one is good as well and has a smaller waterfall and lovely grounds. We were full so had a beer here and enjoyed the grounds and took a dip in the waterfall pool! There are small signs posted but locals are happy to point out directions!
